Lladro Limited Edition Porcelain Figurine, Voyage of Columbus 01005847 with Base

The sculpture depicts three children- two girls and one boy-exploring a large terrestrial globe. Rendered in the modern Spanish style, the figures are dressed in pastel tones of pink, blue, and grey. The globe features high-gloss white and light blue oceans contrasted with textured brown land masses, detailed with small painted ships and a compass rose. The piece is mounted on an oval dark wood plinth. The underside of the porcelain base features the blue Lladro backstamp, reading LLADRO HAND MADE IN SPAIN. Inscribed black script identifies the sculptor as Fr. Polope (Francisco Polope) and the decorator as Angeles Caba, followed by the number 2144.
