Lladro Black Legacy Porcelain Figurine, Jazz Sax 01005833, Retired, w/ box, *Mint* Condition

This glazed porcelain figurine, titled Jazz Sax (model number 5833), is part of the Lladro Black Legacy collection. Designed by sculptor Juan Huerta and first issued circa 1991, the piece depicts a young boy musician seated on a lavender-colored tufted stool. The figure is dressed in a light purple hat, a white long-sleeved shirt with a cream bow tie, a pink vest, and grey and white vertical striped trousers with coordinating striped socks. He is posed holding and playing a white saxophone. The underside of the base bears the blue printed Lladro factory mark featuring the bell flower logo, LLADRO, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and a copyright mark for D.A.S.A. 1990. Additional incised marks are present on the base, including F-16 S and a circular potter's mark. The figurine is accompanied by its original grey Lladro cardboard storage box.
