Wedgwood 2pc Primrose Yellow Jasperware Prunus Vase and Potpourri Bowl

Description

A two-piece set of Wedgwood jasperware in the primrose yellow colorway, featuring applied white bas-relief sprigged decoration. The collection consists of a square-sectioned bottle vase and a round potpourri bowl with a matching lid. The vase is designed with tapered shoulders and a flared neck, with each of the four faces decorated with a white floral sprig in the Prunus or cherry blossom pattern. The round, tapering bowl features a separate domed lid designed with multiple circular apertures for scent release, topped with a ball finial and accented with small four-petaled flowers. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with neoclassical grapevine festoons suspended from lion-mask-and-ring handles. Both items bear the impressed factory mark WEDGWOOD and MADE IN ENGLAND on the underside, indicating production in the late 20th century. Both pieces also feature a circular silver-toned label for the RUBIN COLLECTION, and the bowl has an additional small white sticker reading RUBIN.
